The innate immunity always works to protect the body and does not require previous exposure or any special preparation to stop the infection while the acquired immunity remembers how it dealt with an infection, thus, it becomes really effective once it has seen the infection before.

Winter is the best season to build up and enhance the immunity of an individual. The following are ways to help boost immunity:

  • Eat a balanced diet – Get plenty of vitamins C in your body and herbs and spices are components that help boost immune system.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water
  • Find time to do some exercise on your daily routine
  • Reduce the stress your mind and body is experiencing by doing some breathing techniques, having a massage therapy or by listening to soothing music.
  • Wash your hands regularly and bring hand sanitizer when going to public places.
  • Get enough sleep.
